A delightful sight in Tropical Coast Queensland 🌴 is one of the breathtaking and brightly coloured Olive-backed Sunbirds flitting about in lush gardens. 🌿🌸
You'll find them probing flowers 🌺 with their gracefully curved bill (often while hovering), tending to their beautiful hanging nests or dancing with their reflections in windows. 💃🏼🕺🏻 Even they know how pretty they are! 😉
These songbirds are very small, at most 12 cm (4.7 in) long, and are common across 📍 southern China and Southeast Asia to Queensland and the Solomon Islands. 🌏
If you see these beauties, it’s definitely worth stopping to admire and even trying to capture a snap! 📸 But you'l have to be quick, as they certainly are!
Have you spotted these Sunbirds dancing in tropical gardens before?
